Beautification Committee

At Mondays meeting MT Schnieder appointed his "Beautification Committee". Still on the committee (and chair) is Lisa "You Can Ring My Bell" Rodolfi.

The most suprising nomination was Carol Hopkins, as Ward One resident. Neither Ward One council member nominated her. I can only assume this is just more patronage positions, since Carol is a known COGG member and big-time MT supporter.

But, what may not be as well known is Hopkins troubles with "beautification" within Overland. So, since I was inspired by the OVCC blog's video, here are the details:

That is not true, is it? I find it hard to believe since COGG is always so hyped up on condeming "nuisance" properties and Carole is a member.

Contrarian,

That could be one of the worst kept doghouses I have seen in quite sometime. You ever get a chance to get a look at the Hopkin's home as well? It can't be as "not-so-beautiful" as the doghouse.

Can we find a better example of how patronage perverts our political processes. Wouldn't it be something if Schneider nominated a non-COGG member to one of the many boards and commissions. Wouldn't even be more outrageous to encounter a nominee that you had never heard of before.

I'm a dreamer to be sure.
